Chris Webber has brought the Fab Five back into the spotlight thanks to his willingness to address his infamous phantom timeout during the Bulls-Cavaliers broadcast on Tuesday. Dan Patrick asked him about it and his longtime radio silence on the matter on Wednesday. Webber’s answers were pretty unflattering towards his fellow Fab Fivers.
“I know that the ‘Fab Five’ documentary makes it seem like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m so scared to talk about it,’ ” Webber said. “I’ve always tried to embrace it.” Patrick followed up by asking about his conspicuous absence from The Fab Five, the Jalen Rose-produced “30 for 30” documentary, to which Webber responded with some thinly veiled barbs at Rose and his teammates (via the Detroit Free Press):
“I love the guys, but I just think there was so much missed there,” Webber said.
