There will be a lineup change tonight when the Celtics take on the Atlanta Hawks. According to New York Times reporter Marc Stein, Kemba Walker will be rested tonight as the Celtics play their second game in consecutive nights and the third game in four nights.
Walker opted for a stem cell injection in the offseason instead of knee surgery to relieve some soreness in his knee. This was a scheduled absence for the former UConn player as he’s had his minutes increased over the last week after being restricted upon his return.
With Walker out and Marcus Smart already ruled out due to injury, the Celtics will likely turn to Payton Pritchard to run the offense.
