The Seattle Seahawks defensive line is starting to take shape. Shortly after it was reported that Jarran Reed and the Seahawks would be parting ways, it was confirmed that defensive end Carlos Dunlap was re-signed to a two-year $16.6 million contract.
Dunlap was traded to the Seahawks midway through last season. He was a menace in eight games, with Seattle getting five sacks, two passes defended, and 14 tackles.
Seattle has spent the beginning of the free agency tweaking their defensive line. In addition to parting ways with Reed, they went out and signed Kerry Hyder, who led the San Francisco 49ers in sacks last season and re-upped Poona Ford on a two-year extension.
