The Cleveland Browns’ prospect of making the NFL post-season is starting to look a whole lot better.
Burt Lauten reports that key defensive cogs, Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt and centre Maurkice Pouncey will not be travelling to Cleveland for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 17 encounter with the Browns. Heyward and Watt rank fourth and fifth, respectively, in tackles this season on a Steelers unit that ranks second in total defence and second in scoring defence. These defensive absences are in addition to Joe Haden, tested positive for covid-19, and Terrell Edmunds, sidelined with a shoulder injury.
