At BYU, the name “Robbie Bosco” is still synonymous with winning.
Bosco starred under center for the Cougars in the mid-1980s, finishing third in Heisman voting in consecutive years (1984–85). But his true claim to fame is leading the storied program to its first and only national championship in ’84.
The Packers drafted Bosco in the third round in 1986; he spent two years in Green Bay before shoulder injuries ended his career.
Bosco returned to Provo and was BYU’s QB coach from 1990-2003. He now works in athletic development as the Varsity Club Director.
