The Atlanta Braves have released Tuesday’s lineup against the Marlins, and you’ll notice that second baseman Ozzie Albies isn’t batting in his customary number two spot. Albies has been dropped to fifth in the order following a rough start to the season. The 24-year old is batting just .128 with a .143 OBP and .256 SLG.
Freddie Freeman will take over the two-hole as the Braves experiment with different ways to get Albies going.
This is a similar strategy deployed by Atlanta last season as they often interchanged the first six hitters in their lineup to players break out of their slumps.
