Kintzler played with the Marlins last season, but he will be headed to Philadelphia next season. MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports that Kintzler has signed a $3M deal with the Phillies, including an additional $1M in incentives. He can earn $500K by appearing in a certain number of games and another $500K by recording a certain number of saves. Kintzler also had an offer on the table to return to the Marlins, but Bryce Harper was reportedly very persuasive in pitching Kinsler on the Phillies. The two both live in Las Vegas and were previously teammates on the Nationals.
