Depending on who you ask, Brad Stevens is either a wonderkid, a hell of a basketball coach, or just simply a genius. After taking Butler to back to back NCAA Championship games (and coming within INCHES of beating Duke), Stevens shocked everyone by taking hte Boston Celtics head coaching job. Since becoming the coach, Stevens non-ego persona has molded the Celtics into a legitimate playoff team, despite the lack of a superstar in a star driven league.
So what is it that makes Brad Stevens so good? Has he just come up with complex, different play designs that have never been seen in the history of basketball before?
