Dino Babers led Bowling Green to a 28-23 win over Buffalo on Saturday, but that wasn’t the most impressive thing he did this weekend.
On its way home, the Falcons’ team bus had a car swerve in front of it, hit the center divider and catch fire. The bus, which did not suffer damage, pulled over and Babers and trainer Chelsea Lowe sprang into action.
According to the Toledo Blade, the two pulled out the injured driver, a 25-year-old woman, and carried her away to a safe distance from the car. Babers said Lowe comforted her while he returned to the car to get her keys, purse and other valuables.
