‘Book Of Mormon’ Theater Goers In Seattle React To Vikings’ Missed Field Goal

Theater folk are notoriously tone-deaf when it comes to sports, which is why officials at the Paramount Theater in Seattle scheduled their matinee for The Book of Mormon at 1 p.m. on Sunday — right about the time that the Seahawks-Packers wild-card game was wrapping up. They couldn’t have moved back the curtain to, say, 1:30, to prevent a conflict?

Anyway, the theater asked the crowd to turn off their cell phones at 12:59 — a request that was of course ignored. The Vikings were about to attempt a chip shot field goal to eliminate the Seahawks from the playoffs.
