Many are already familiar with USC football fan and honorary teammate Jake Olson, a blind teenager whose journey and relationship with the Trojans was documented in a piece for “College GameDay” in 2013. But according to head coach Steve Sarkisian, you’ll see him taking the field in a game for the Trojans before too long.
Olson, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound senior long-snapper from Orange Lutheran, will be attending USC in the fall on a Swim With Mike scholarship, “awarded annually from the Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship fund” according to the Los Angeles Times. He was introduced as a walk-on in February.
