Bill Murray To Lead Stretch In World Series Game 3

It was destined to be. Comedian and Cubs fanatic Bill Murray will christen Wrigley Field with his angelic voice in the stadium’s first World Series game since 1945. He is slated to lead the seventh inning stretch in Game 3 of the World Series against the Cleveland Indians Friday night.

Murray won’t be the only notable name in the house. The Cubs have put together a star-studded lineup with Patrick Stump singing the national anthem, Wayne Messmer singing God Bless America and Billy Williams throwing out the first pitch.

This isn’t the first time Murray is stepping up to the mike during a pivotal playoff moment for the Cubs.
