Michael Beasley has played for a number of NBA teams, most notably the Miami Heat, since being drafted second overall in the 2008 NBA Draft. Failing to become a franchise player after being drafted that high generally earns you the reputation of “bust” in the NBA, and Beasley isn’t much of an exception. Not in America at least.
But the Chinese Basketball League is a totally different story.
Beasley returned to China this year after first joining the league in 2014, playing for the Shanghai Sharks. He came back to the NBA in the second half of last season to play 24 games with the Heat, but returned to the CBA as a Shandong Golden Star.
