Football is a contact sport. Even for the ball boy.
Auburn student manager Jake “Blue Thunder” Longenecker — who was last seen using his blazing speed to keep up on the sidelines with WR Melvin Ray — showed off a broken nose he sustained in practice after running into 6-foot-6, 243-pound DL Raashed Kennion.
His shirt was completely bloodied, but Longenecker seemed to be in good spirits with an ear-to-ear grin and a thumbs-up.
Indeed, student managing is a sport.
