Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports that Luis Garcia will start in place of Lance McCullers in Tuesday’s series opener with the Colorado Rockies. The Native Venezuelan has made two appearances this season, with one start. He’s yet to be involved in a decision and has a 2.35 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP.
Luis Garcia will start tomorrow at Colorado in place of McCullers.
Garcia is replacing McCullers, who dealt with some side effects after receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
The side effects may have contributed to a difficult start in his last outing as McCullers only lasted 3 2/3 innings while allowing six runs and three walks.
