The Philadelphia Eagles have announced they have released wide receiver, Alshon Jefferey.
Jefferey played seven games for the Eagles last season, hampered by injuries. He caught six passes for 115 yards and one touchdown.
The nine-year veteran played four seasons for the team, playing in 46 games, catching 171 passes for 2, 237 yards and 20 touchdowns. He started his career as a member of the Chicago Bears.
With Jefferey missing most of the season, the Eagles spread their production to multiple pass catchers. Team leader, tight end Zach Ertz, led the team with an 18% target market share, with second-year wide receiver Travis Fulgham leading the receiving corps with 15.
