If you had never heard of Kansas State running back Alex Barnes, he likely caught your eye at the NFL Combine this weekend.
Weighing in at 226 pounds, Barnes put together a very impressive set of workouts. His 4.59 40-yard dash time was good enough to register a speed score over 100, and he registered 89th percentile or better in both the vertical and broad jumps while at a featured-back weight. Most impressive was his agility score (3-cone + short shuttle) of 11.05 seconds.
Just 19 RB prospects since 2000 have registered an agility score better than 11.
