Adam Vinatieri has announced his retirement from the NFL Wednesday after 24 seasons.

Vinatieri made the announcement on the Pat McAfee show, last making his last start in 2019 with the Indianapolis Colts, unable to play in the 2020 season due to a knee injury. In the 2019 season, he was 17-for-55 in field goals, the worst of this career.
He is the leader in points scored, with 2,673, spending his career as a member of the New England Patriots for 10 seasons and Indianapolis Colts for 14. In 2014 he led the league in field goal percentage, going 30-for-31.
