If you don’t know Georgia Page by her real name, you certainly know her by nickname: “Rugby War Goddess.” Page is the Lindenwood rugby player who recently became instantly famous when a video of her breaking her nose, spitting out blood and playing on in a sevens game went viral.
A Western Sydney native, Page studied osteopathic medicine in Australia for two years before a coach at Lindenwood recruited her to Missouri. She spoke to us about broken noses, exhaling massive amounts of blood, viral fame and the future of rugby and women’s sports.
Walk me through the moment.
