Only two wide receivers have ever won the Heisman Trophy: Notre Dame’s Tim Brown (1987) and Michigan’s Desmond Howard (1991). Just when it looked like pass-catchers taking home the award would be a trend after Howard hoisted the trophy just four years after Brown broke the mold, no receiver has won it since.
That could change this year as Baylor WR Corey Coleman puts up video-game numbers in Waco. With four regular-season games left to prove his mettle, here are some key reasons why Coleman should win the Heisman:
