Sports are intrinsically complicated. Every sport has incredibly detailed rulebooks which makes it impossible for a novice to understand. Think about baseball’s rulebook and just consider Rule Three, Article 8, Section A. That “detailed” rule literally just says:
All players shall use some type of protective helmet while at
bat and while running the bases.That’s the whole rule. Players need to wear a batting helmet. But I guess it makes sense that every rules is broken down in grave detail. There is just an answer to every simple question we can have, for better or worse.
