Florida owns the longest win streak in college football against a particular opponent with 28-straight victories over Kentucky dating back to 1987. It’s hard to believe at first glance — 28! — but Florida has largely been very good over the last three decades; Kentucky, not so much. Even so, a lot of things must fall into place for one conference foe to have such good fortune over another for so long and Florida has benefitted all of it.
When the Gators go for No. 29 this Saturday night in Lexington the playing field will be as even as it’s been since UK last toppled Florida in 1986.
