It’s no secret by this point that Joao Plata simply isn’t in favor at Real Salt Lake, for one reason or another.
After all, in his four matches he’s made it on the pitch for, he’s played just 23 minutes, averaging just over five minutes per appearance.
That’s quite a change for a player that started 20 matches last year, scoring eight goals and notching eight assists. But the team has very much moved in a direction where Plata hasn’t been involved, and that leads one to a big question: Will he still be on the team at the end of the day?
