We all saw it. Tony Beltran scored his first goal in MLS play against Vancouver. It happened after having played over 20,000 minutes in the league. Beltran made a run up the right side and while Brek Shea tried to catch up, Jefferson Savarino put the ball at Beltran’s feet. Tony cut inside to fend of Shea and score the goal on the inside post, with his left foot no less.
That was by no means the only thing that Beltran did well on the night. He had three shots, two of which were on goal. He showed real determination and knew the importance of the game.
