Utah forward Megan Huff went No. 26 overall in Wednesday night's WNBA draft, as the New York Liberty took her with the second pick of the third round.
Huff became the sixth former Ute drafted into the league in the past 14 seasons and the first Utah player taken since Michelle Plouffe in 2014.
A transfer from Hawaii, the 6-foot-3 Huff was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection for the Utes. She averaged 19.6 points and 9.9 rebounds as a senior, leading the Utes to a 20-10 record.
Joined by teammates and coaches at the Jon M. and Karen Huntsman Basketball Facility, Huff said she was “relieved” when her name appeared on the screen of the ESPNU telecast as one of the first three picks of the third round.
