Enrollment at Utah’s public colleges and universities continues to climb — up 2.17 percent overall, an increase of 3,915 students.
According to the Utah System of High Education, a “snapshot” of enrollment three weeks into the fall semester shows Southern Utah University with the largest percentage gain, up 7.69 percent or 728 students.
Utah Valley University had the largest increase in total numbers, up 2,649 students (7.11 percent) to remain the state’s largest public university.
Enrollment at the University of Utah and Utah State University is essentially flat, with increases of less than 1 percent. There were small decreases in students at Salt Lake Community College and Snow College.
