Utah Royals FC announced via this really cool Tweet the signing of 31-year-old Spanish star Veronica Boquete for the 2019 season.
A versatile attacking midfielder, “Vero” is also capable of playing as a false striker in support of the primary number nine on the field. Boquete scored 38 goals in 56 matches with the Spain WNT, and has 168 goals in 325 club appearances across her 13 year professional career.
The addition of such quality in the top of the midfield strengthens the attacking potential of the team, and provides a stable season-long presence as the Royals prepare to handle the various national team appearances of several players.
