Rachel Corsie, the Scotland captain, was officially added to the Royals’ inaugural season roster. Corsie originally arrived in Utah as a non-roster invitee for the pre-season.
The former Seattle Reign FC player will play again for Laura Harvey. In Seattle, Corsie scored three goals in 44 games. Internationally, Corsie has 94 caps for Scotland, scoring 16 times in those games since beginning her international career in 2009.
Familiar with Corsie’s playing style, Harvey commended the Scottish captain in the team’s press release:
“Continuing to add someone of Rachel’s experience and quality to our roster is important as we grow the foundation for this franchise,” Harvey said.
