Police are searching for a Beaver man charged with nearly 40 sexual abuse-related felonies, who skipped his Monday preliminary hearing.

The man, 43-year-old Destry Mel Stewart, had previously bailed out of the Beaver County jail for $160,000, court documents show. Additionally, prosecutors said he had violated a no-contact order.

The Millard County Sheriff’s Office is assisting Beaver County in the search for Stewart. He is believed to have last been seen in the Wah Wah Mountain Range near Crystal Peak in western Millard County.

Stewart is described as a white man with red or auburn hair and blue eyes.
