A Sandy mother was pushing her two toddlers in a stroller when they were struck by a car on Tuesday morning, critically injuring one of the children.
The woman was in a crosswalk near 1850 E. Sego Lily Drive about 9:10 a.m. when she and her children were struck by a car going east, said Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen.
All three were transported to Alta View Hospital; the younger of the children — who Nielsen said was between 18 months and 3 years old — was then flown by helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
