Washington • Rep. Ben McAdams, D-Utah, said Wednesday that he supports opening up the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump publicly and that all members of Congress should have access to witness testimony and the president should have due process rights through the process.
The congressman’s statement stops short of saying he’ll vote Thursday for the Democratic resolution to set up guidelines for the impeachment process, though it signals he may back it.
“These are serious times for our country,” McAdams said. “Utahns deserve an opportunity to judge the facts for themselves rather than taking the Republican or Democratic Party’s spin.
