Andy Ale, a black rye saison, was created to celebrate the 60th birthday of Tracy Aviary’s most famous resident. Of course, a portion of the sales will be donated to the aviary to help all his feathered friends.

The beer was unveiled Wednesday during a special 21-and-older “bird-day” party at the venue inside Liberty Park, 589 E. 1300 South. It will be available to the public beginning Thursday in the bottle shop at Toasted Barrel Brewery, 412 W. 600 North, Salt Lake City.

Jackie Kolwowski, the aviary’s senior bird show trainer, and her sister Rachel Kolwowski, a Utah artist, approached Toasted Barrel brewers Eric Albers and Laura George several months ago about the birthday beer possibilities.
