Utah baseball team snaps nine-game losing streak, beating BYU 8-6

Rykker Tom’s two-run triple broke a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning as the Utes (8-15) won for the first time since March 15 at Arizona.

BYU (21-6) got the potential tying run on base in the ninth inning, but Utah second baseman Oliver Dunn made a sliding stop and started a game-ending double play. Zac McCleve earned a save, with Jacob Rebar getting the win in relief.
