The 13-year-old boy was riding with family on Bureau of Land Management land near Sand Hollow State Park. At 2:45 p.m., the vehicle overturned on the sand dunes, according to a news release from Utah State Parks.
The boy, a passenger, was was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, and no other car was involved in the crash.
The teen has not been named. His family is from Colorado, according to the release.
