The Second Stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft kicks off Thursday at 1 p.m. MT on a conference call with 44 players eligible for selection. Real Salt Lake holds the fifth pick in the draft and has plenty of options available if General Manager Craig Waibel and his staff opts to build through returning MLS players.
In the First Stage, FC Dallas traded up to the top spot to select former Portland Timbers forward Maximiliano Urruti and later Sporting Kansas City selected former Chicago Fire goalkeeper Alec Kann. Those players maintain their prior contracts while clubs selecting players in the Second Stage can negotiate new contracts.
