Snow comes the day after Christmas — and a bigger storm is headed this way on Thursday

After most Utahns experienced a mostly snow-free Christmas, the white stuff started to come down Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday morning, creating a bit of a nightmare for those who had to brave the commute. According to police, there were multiple accidents up and down the Wasatch Front, including a semitrailer truck that rolled over near 13200 South on I-15, snarling early-morning traffic.

That snowstorm is expected to taper off by mid- to late-morning, but that was just Round 1 for the Salt Lake area. The National Weather Service is forecasting a “new and much colder storm system” headed to Utah from the northwest.
