SLCC hires Kyle Taylor as only the school’s third men’s basketball coach since 1991

Salt Lake Community College has named Kyle Taylor, a former Idaho State assistant basketball coach and Utah State support staff member, as the school's head coach.

Taylor becomes only the third SLCC men's basketball coach hired since 1991, following the successful tenures of Norm Parrish and Todd Phillips, who recently joined the Utah Valley University staff.

Taylor is a 2005 graduate of UCLA. He coached Covenant College’s Division III program in Georgia for seven years. Taylor described his SLCC position as “one of the best NJCAA jobs in the country.”

In a news release, SLCC athletic director Kevin Dustin said Taylor is “a bright, young coach who is very detail oriented, with an excellent recruiting network.
