Real Monarchs Head Coach Mark Briggs calls him a joy to watch. A player who you never know what he’s going to do. Real Monarchs midfielder Sebastian Velasquez is featured by the USL this week.
He has been an integral part in the team’s perfect 7-0-0 record at home and its nine-match win streak, including both assists on Monday night in the record-setting win against Reno. He has now been with the Real Salt Lake organization for four seasons but the reason for Velasquez’s successes this year is his move to attacking midfielder, something he’s wanted to do since being drafted by RSL.
