Add real Salt Lake midfielder Omar Holness to the list of RSL players who have undergone season-ending surgery this year.

He had the operation Tuesday after rupturing his ACL three weeks ago, the team revealed Wednesday. Holness will be out for the remainder of the season with an 8- to 12-month expected recovery time.

The 23-year-old Jamacian national team player has been on the RSL injury list since June 29th with an "unspecified knee injury."

He left training the day before after landing awkwardly on a challenge, limping off the field of his own accord.

RSL drafted the former North Carolina Tar Heel fifth overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.
