Today in conjunction with Major League Soccer, Real Salt Lake and the RSL Academy announced the groups and full schedule for the upcoming Generation adidas Cup held from April 13-20 in Frisco, Texas.
The RSL Academy U-17s have been placed in Group C of the Championship Division, the tournament’s top flight. RSL will face off with fellow MLS Academy side New York City FC, Argentina powerhouse CA River Plate and France’s Olympique Lyonnais. RSL’s full GA Cup schedule can be found here.
RSL won the tournament in 2008 when it defeated D.C. United 5-4 in a penalty shootout at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
