Real Salt Lake's first roster addition of the offseason is one that's in-house — sort of.
RSL announced Tuesday it signed 18-year-old RSL Academy product Danilo Acosta as the club's 10th Homegrown player. A center back with the RSL Academy, the Honduran-born Acosta is also viewed as a potential defensive midfielder at the professional level. Per a release, he's expected to join RSL for the start of training camp on Friday, Jan. 22.
"When I came to the Academy, my dream was to play with Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium," said Acosta in a club release.
