Real Salt Lake’s second round pick is in: Elijah Amo, a 21-year-old senior attacking player from Louisville.
Amo, who was a regular started for the team in 2019 and 2020, scored three goals in six games in a condensed 2020 schedule.
One would readily imagine that Amo is likely to move to Real Monarchs instead of Real Salt Lake, though as a player with experience at both flanks and at forward, he may have a slight advantage, in that RSL is weak on the wings.
Amo played his youth soccer at Bethesda SC. We’ll see now if Amo ends up with a contract at the organization.
