RSL grabbed a win in their home opener against the Vancouver, ousting the Canadian side by a scoreline of 1-0 thanks to Albert Rusnak.
Real Salt Lake got off to a great start, taking the lead early on when Corey Baird was taken down in the box. Albert Rusnak took the penalty kick and sent it easily into the top corner to put the home side up 1-0 in the 21st minute.
RSL controlled the majority of possession in the first half, securing 52% as opposed to Vancouver’s 48%, and enjoyed a 1-0 lead after the first 45.
