Real Salt Lake and head scout Andy Williams may have parted ways, with sources inside the club indicating he’s been furloughed, and sources close to the player indicating he’s left the club entirely.
Willams, who has been RSL’s head scout since 2012 and served as an assistant coach for a time, sent a series of Tweets on Wednesday evening expressing frustration that seemed to indicate he is looking for a move.
RSL Communications told RSL Soapbox that Williams had been furloughed as a part of the response to the COVID-19 situation and the halt to the MLS season, but that his employment status has not changed beyond that.
