RSL falls 2-0 to LAFC in wild fashion

Real Salt Lake dropped a 2-0 result to league leaders LAFC in a wild match that saw a penalty reversal, two red cards, and another penalty. Goals were scored by MVP favorite Carlos Vela and Adama Diomande.

RSL thought they were in for some trouble early on when referee Baldomero Toledo blew the whistle for a hand ball on Aaron Herrera and subsequently issued him a red card. After conferring with the VAR, luckily he called off the penalty kick and pulled the red card back and play resumed.

While both teams enjoyed shots on goal, RSL dominated possession in the first half with 53%, although LAFC outshot the home side 10-4 overall.
