RSL drops points late to Minnesota United, draws 1-1

Real Salt Lake dropped two points to Minnesota United on a temperate Saturday night, with a Zac MacMath error erasing the joy of a beautiful Damir Kreilach goal.

It was a night to forget for MacMath, who flubbed from a corner kick, and for RSL’s attack, who created option after option.

Damir Kreilach opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a set piece goal, nestling the ball into the corner following a low cross from Aaron Herrera. It was a well-executed set piece, starting with Pablo Ruiz, who found Herrera well open on the right side, and Kreilach’s finishing prowess left nothing to doubt.
