LAFC Attack Too Much as RSL Bows Out of U.S. Open Cup
SANDY, Utah (Tuesday, June 11, 2019) – Real Salt Lake fell 3-0 to LAFC in the fourth round of the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The loss sees RSL exit the tournament in the fourth round for the second consecutive season.
LAFC jumped out to an early lead when MLS Golden Boot leader Carlos Vela curled home a left-footed effort from just inside the penalty area for the 1-0 lead.
