Is Real Salt Lake set to land their attacking midfielder early this offseason? It’s hard to say definitively, but we now know that the club has agreed a transfer fee with FC Groningen for the services of Albert Rusnak.
RTV Noord, a regional publication in Groningen, reported today that Rusnak, 22, has already had conversations with Real Salt Lake; that report cited discussions with the coach, but it’s difficult to say if that’s general manager Craig Waibel or coach Jeff Cassar.
That’s confirmed by FC Groningen itself: The club today published a newsletter in which they reported that they’ve come to an agreement, but that RSL and Rusnak had yet to agree a deal.
