Sandy • The longest losing streak in six years is done.
Real Salt Lake snapped its four-game skid with a 2-1 victory over New York City FC on a frigid Wednesday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.
It was the club's new additions who combined to allow Rio Tinto Stadium to let out a collective sigh. None more so than Albert Rusnák, whose goal and assist propelled RSL to its first win in more than a month.
Rusnák's 38th-minute goal snapped a 329-minute scoreless streak — the fifth-longest streak in RSL history. The 22-year-old tagged a left-footed shot from 22 yards away that swerved away from NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson.
