SANDY, Utah (Friday, December 15, 2017) – Real Salt Lake General Manager Craig Waibel announced that the club has signed DF Taylor Peay after the Salt Lake City native helped Real Monarchs SLC win the 2017 USL Regular Season Championship Shield. RSL acquired the right of first refusal for Peay in a trade with the Portland Timbers, sending a third round pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the 26-year-old.
“Taylor comes from a championship background with the Monarchs and Timbers. With that experience he has earned the opportunity with the first team to continue his growth as a player,” Waibel said.
